Club Lux, a nightclub located in San Juan, has built its reputation on exclusivity, sophistication, and a uniquely personalized nightlife experience. WMP developed a dual mobile-app solution: A Member App that deepens customer engagement and convenience, and a Club Manager App that streamlines staff operations and centralizes control. Together, these apps have reshaped how Club Lux interacts with guests, manages events, validates memberships, handles promotions, and operates nightly at the door.

The Challenge

• Events Hub – Members can view “Happening Today” events as well as upcoming experiences, complete with artwork, descriptions, times, and locations.
• Digital Store – Members can purchase event tickets, view ticket availability, and proceed to checkout seamlessly within the app.
• Check-in History – Users can review their attendance, helping with loyalty rewards and VIP eligibility.
• Social & Review Integration – Direct links to Instagram, X, SDC, FetLife, Google, and TripAdvisor
  strengthen the club’s online presence and community engagement. The Member App reflects Club Lux’s personality, discreet, decadent, unforgettable, while providing the convenience today’s nightlife patrons expect.

2. Club Manager App
Built specifically for staff and management, this app is designed for speed, clarity, and operational control. Key features include:

• Instant QR Code Scanning – Door staff can scan member QR codes or manually enter codes to verify identity, membership tier, and eligibility for promotions.
• Member Directory – A complete database of all guests, searchable by name, mobile number, or email.
• Add New Member – Managers can create new memberships on the spot—or check in a new guest immediately with “Save & Check In.”
• Events Management – Staff can view and manage active and upcoming events in real time.
• Operational Tools – Access to inventory, store items, staff listings, groups, rules & terms, reports, surveys, ads, and settings, all in one centralized hub.
• Security & Control – Digital verification reduces unauthorized entries and strengthens gatekeeping. This app empowers the Club Lux team with the tools necessary for smooth nightly operations while giving management a comprehensive view of club activity.

3. QR Code Check-In and Intelligent Access Validation
A core component of the Club Lux digital ecosystem is its QR code–based check-in system, designed to balance operational efficiency with controlled access. Members present a unique QR code displayed within their mobile app at the entrance, which staff scan using the Club Manager app. In cases where scanning is not possible, staff can manually enter the member’s unique code to complete validation.

Behind this simple interaction is a set of intelligent, rule-based validations that ensure only eligible members gain access, based on event type, ticket ownership, and operating hours.

Event-Based Validation
When an event is scheduled, the system automatically checks whether the member has purchased a ticket for that specific event.

• Members who have purchased a ticket are allowed to check in starting one hour before the event begins.
• The valid check-in window extends from one hour before the event start time until 4:00 a.m the following day.
• If a member has not purchased a ticket for a paid event, the system prevents check-in, eliminating the need for manual verification or staff intervention.

Free vs Paid Events
The system intelligently differentiates between free and paid events:

• Free events allow members to check in during the standard check-in window without requiring ticket validation.
• Paid events trigger an automatic ticket ownership check before access is granted.

This ensures consistency, fairness, and complete transparency at the door.

Non-Event Days
On days when no events are scheduled, members can check in one hour before the club opens, maintaining controlled access while still offering flexibility for regular visits.
